The Nigerian Super Eagles players have
resumed camp in Abuja and are training ahead of the African Nations
Championship (CHAN 2016) tournament to be held in Rwanda next year. Coach Sunday Oliseh did not take part in the training as he is still recovering from an ailment.
The training began on Tuesday, December 15.
The CHAN tournament is available to only home-based Super Eagles players. The team will play a high profile friendly against the Ivory Coast in preparation for the tournament.
The Super Eagles B team have been placed in a group which
includes Tunisia, Guinea and Niger. The team will be making its second
CHAN appearance.
Nigeria won bronze at the 2014 edition of the competition in South Africa. Rwanda will host the competition from Saturday, January 16 to Sunday, February 6.
